About Us

The Consortium for the development of the University of Gorizia Center has been established thanks to the will of the Province of Gorizia, the Gorizia Municipal Council, and the Gorizia Chamber of Commerce to promote higher education and scientific research within their territory, providing organizational support to the Universities of Nova Gorica, Trieste and Udine.

The Consortium aims to achieve the following objectives:

Promote and develop education for Bachelor Degrees and University Diplomas, Specialist Graduate Schools, Research and Study Centers and Masters courses;

Promote and finance research programs to be held in the Province of Gorizia in conjunction with other Institutes, Laboratories and Centers, University Departments of Nova Gorica, Trieste and Udine and in the future, potentially also with other Universities and Research Centers;

Supply organizational and financial support to qualified initiatives to promote exchanges between the University of Gorizia and other national and foreign universities and institutions;

Promote and support the participation of regional social, cultural and economic realities, in collaboration with other universities, through the creation of European Union projects and programs, as well as through the publication of scientific papers and experimental initiatives specific to the social and cultural realities of the Province;

In supporting university and cultural-scientific activities, the Consortium places particular attention to the specific heritage of the “Isontino” history and culture, an important reference for the development of peace building relations with the Balkans and eastern Mediterranean regions.
